Required Bursar | Director of Finance
The Langlands School and College, Chitral is seeking a well qualified, experienced and energetic Bursar / Director of Finance.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified or part qualified accountant and will probably hold a relevant business degree. He/she will have a successful track record at a senior level in a complex organization, preferably in education.

The Bursar/Finance Director will be responsible for all aspects of finance, and will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the school, reporting directly to the Principal.

He/she will help to create robust budgets and forecasts, ensure that financial records meet compliance standards, provide analysis and insight to support decision-making, and will lead and support key projects across a number of areas. Responsibilities will include the introduction and oversight of software to handle all aspects of the school’s management and record-keeping.

The Bursar/Director of Finance will also be involved in the school’s future construction plans. Responsibilities will include liaising with school architects and builders and obtaining tenders and planning permission. He/she will need an appetite for hard work and good communication skills.
