Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Ltd (CPPA) is a non-profit independent company established under the company ordinance 1984. The company deals in electrical power procurement and sales to DISCOs .CPPA is looking fora result oriented. professional and self-motivated individual having strong leadership qualities for the following vacant position.
The Candidate will be responsible for managing overall corporate and legal affairs of company, settlement process in
accordance with power purchase Agreement with Generators and Electricity Supply Agreement with the distribution
companies and provide legal support to the Top management, Board of directors and Government of Pakistan for the
electricity sector. He has also to oversee the process of transformation of CPPA-G functions presently being performed by NTDC to the CPPA Guarantee Ltd. And matter relating to NEPRA and other regulators. He will be further responsible for laying down the legal system to discharge the liabilities of Power purchase Agreement executed between WAPDA, NTDC including CPPA under NTDC. He shall also be responsible for litigation involving the company. The candidate should be a law graduate with ten years oi relevant professional experience in corporate. regulatory & commercial matters and ancillary litigation along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Master degree in Law and 10 years‘ experience in senior position of large commercial /public Sector organizations of repute and understanding of modern electricity utilities and their market operation will be an added benefit. Age of the candidate should be between 40to 55 years. The candidate should have clear understanding of market operation issues including power sector. The candidate should have exposure to international donors, financial institutions,privatization restructuring. Salary Package and Tenure The Position will have a market based remuneration Package commensurate with experience and qualification of the candidate.
