JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) is an independent regulatory authority, established under the PHC Act 2010. The Commission aims to introduce a culture of quality assurance in the healthcare services through developing and enforcing minimum service delivery standards at all healthcare establishments at the primary, secondary and tertiary level in the public and private sectors in the Punjab.
PHC is currently looking for a Legal Advisor on Retainership basis in accordance with the below mentioned details:

JOB TITLE: Legal Advisor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Draft the requisite Rules and Regulations of PHC, and other legal documents as required/desired
• Advise the Commission on all the legal matters pertaining to its mandate/functioning
• Advise/assist the Commission/Management regarding correspondence with various Departments of the Government, stakeholders and other agencies relating to legal and quasi-legal matters
• Advise the Commission/ Management regarding legal issues pertaining to organizational policy matters
• Handle all the litigation and represent the Commission in the courts of law as advised by the management, in a diligent manner, safeguarding the interest of the Commission
• Any other assignment regarding legal matters given by the management.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Qualification:-
• A graduate degree in law from an HEC recognized institute
• Additional qualifications in medical jurisprudence will be preferred

Experience:
The successful candidate will have minimum 15 years of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Experience of legislative drafting
Understanding of Governmental Legal procedures
Experience of handling medico-legal cases
Understanding regarding Patients’ Charters and complaints procedures for health and social care organizations.
