MSF-OCA is looking for a COUNTRY LABORATORY MANAGER for its office in Islamabad (With Regular visits to MSF projects i.e. Quetta, Chaman & Dera Murad Jamali). Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in defining and updating of lab activities to be undertaken in the mission.
• Set up new lab sites ensuring compliance with basic lab floor plans if required.
• Overall responsible for quality of lab performance in mission.
• Ensure compliance of hygiene and safety protocols both for individual as well as for collective protection are implemented in laboratories
• Check and ensure maintenance of the equipment under his/her responsibility
• Compile, analyze and report on lab activities and results to the medical staff and the immediate supervisor.
• Take the lead on sample collection for outbreak investigation Requirements for the position:
• Minimum bachelor degree with Essential laboratory technician diploma.
• Desirable: Specialization or training in tropical diseases or other laboratory domains
• At least 2 year experience as a lab tech. Desirable previous working experience with MSF or other NGOs. Also desirable experience in developing countries
• Proficient in English & Urdu and having good computer knowledge (MS Office)
• Commitment to humanitarian values as outlined in the MSF Charter
