Security Guard, Security Supervisor Jobs Duties

Security Officer Job Duties: Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

Security Supervisor Job Duties: A security supervisor oversees guards who protect private property against theft and vandalism. Security officers also ensure the safety of people on their employer’s premises. Security personnel work in office buildings, retail stores and other public buildings. They also work in public transportation venues, such as airports and bus terminals. Depending on the size of his staff, the security supervisor might do patrol duty, or his job may be primarily administrative.
